      用别人的话来说就是：Indie最优秀乐队之一！

    “这个名字源自于“Cecile Aubry”笔下小说《Belle Et Sebastian》。“Sebastian”是书中主角一个小男孩的名字，而“Belle”则是和他一起冒险的那条大白狗的名字。60年代中期这本作品被法国改编拍摄为一套儿童连续剧，并于67年起在英国BBC2台播映，广受孩子们的喜爱。对于“B & S”的灵魂人物“Stuart Murdoch”而言，那是儿童时代最纯真的感动，这种平实的怀旧情愫也构成了“B & S”音乐最为迷人的感动。”

      最近的专辑是2005年5月份的《Push Barman to Open Old Wounds》的EP精选集，这张EP合集是乐队早期出版发行的7张EP及单曲的综合，过去的全部收录在这张双CD专辑中。

 　“众所周知，伦敦是英国唱片工业的基地。从伦敦一直往西，在Bristol海峡的东边，有一个同名港口小城Bristol(布里斯托)。今日Bristol显赫的声名大概来自于上世纪90年代中后期的Trip-hop低调电子乐风潮。在那个出现了Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead等Trip-hop三巨头的城市，还曾有过另一段另类音乐的传奇，这就是致力于制作独立流行音乐(Indie Pop)的唱片厂牌Sarah。
   1987年，当Clare Wadd和Matt Haynes成立这个小唱片公司的时候，它还只是Clifton吊桥沿途的一个小地下室。关于Sarah公司在音乐本身之外的运作理念，说起来令人费解，当然它也许是某些社会学批评家感兴趣的话题，Sarah认为它的唱片发行到一百张之时，希望会有一场全球性的社会主义革命，而实际上，当Sarah 100真的出现时，除了资本主义全球一体化愈加变本加厉之外，地球依旧在我们心灵之外悲伤旋转，这个世界上什么激动人心的事情也没发生。
　 Sarah是个跛着腿奋力向左倾斜的堂吉科德，这往往是人们津津乐道的热点，而它音乐本身的美学姿态才是真正的妙不可言。Sarah在音乐上的成就非常简单明了，即是它从87年到95年发行的100张低成本高水准的独立流行乐唱片，包括专辑，单曲，EP和合辑。它很好的给别的唱片公司上了一课：即使不烧钱也能做出不是垃圾的流行乐。而且Sarah在唱片平面设计上更有独到美感，宁静唯美之势直逼另类圣殿4.A.D的专业美工小组。
   1995年8月，Sarah公司发行了它第一百张也是最后一张专辑Sarah 100后宣布关闭。Sarah 100不能算是Sarah系列唱片中最出色的一张，但它集合了几乎所有Sarah旗下的知名乐队，既是Sarah音乐品味的精粹，亦可见证90'独立音乐之唯美传奇。

04. Death Cab For Cutie – 美国  indie-pop   http://deathcabforcutie.com/
      唱片公司：Barsuk Records

最开始先听的2005年专辑《Plan》, 主唱Ben Gibbard 的嗓音温暖中透着细腻，没有丝毫张扬的感觉。正张专辑听下来你会发现D.C.F.C的编曲都趋向轻微的跳跃性，节奏感很不错，尤其是那首《Soul Meets Body》,算得上是专辑中最快的歌了，整首歌没有太大的主副歌的区分，很连贯但朗朗上口。接下来的《Summer Skin》同样具有节奏性，最后的吉他撩得恰到好处！其中有一首清弹清唱的《I Will Follow You Into the Dark》，让我想起中学时代那种纯纯的恋情。《Crooked Teeth》，这是一首一听就能喜欢的歌，副歌部分Ben Gibbard的假音发挥到了最佳！

05. Teenage Fanclub – 英国   indie-pop（没记错的话应该是苏格兰的乐队）

   英伦似的吉他弹奏，远比上面的Death Cab For Cutie来得重得多！偏Rock的乐队。听得不多，发行过９张专辑，我只有这张<Man.Made>，所以对总体不好把握。大家可以自己找来听。

06. Sing-Sing – 英国  dream-pop　　http://www.4ad.com/

              一位是来自Lush的Emma Anderson，另一位是在Kid Loco中献过声的Lisa O'Neill

   《The Joy of Sing-Sing》--4AD旗下前传奇乐队Lush的主音吉他手Emma Anderson的新音乐事业的开始——签约于Cocteau Twins的独立厂牌Bella Union下Sing-Sing的首张专辑。
    我印象中4AD厂牌下Dream-pop的团偏多，那种呓语的音乐形式我还在慢慢接纳中。

 

07. Kings Of Convenience – 挪威   indie-pop

  乐队的第二张专辑，相当有indie-pop感觉。开曲《HomeSick》就是典型的北欧气质的跟labrador类似的旋律！那首《Stay Out Of Trouble》开曲的还曾经被我弄成开机声音，呵呵。我最喜欢这种重复节奏感的旋律， 觉得特有意境，就像今天老姐说的，喜欢在声音玩具《不朽》里面那种低沉的浑浑的音乐里沉溺的感觉一样！不得不提的是乐迷们都会提到的《I'd Rather Dance With You》，这是一种从音乐到现实里轻盈起舞时的幻想，有时候听音乐就要善于联想，这样会让自己更容易融入音乐而体会到更多的快乐！！那天yoyohome提到专业一词，让我着实惭愧了一把。我听音乐纯粹属于爱好，只是喜欢沉迷其中。专业是一点儿都谈不上，再说我也不想专业，搞那么专业了，或许我就失去了聆听的快乐！！

 

08. Múm – 冰岛  indie-Electronica/Post-Rock

2001年推出第一张专辑《Yesterday Was Dramatic Today Is Ok》，试图描述成长中平凡的苦恼以及呈碎片状的零落生活，这样一张梦幻般的专辑里有我们每个人的童年。

2002年乐队第二张专辑面世，《Finally We Are No One》

2004年的《Summer Make Good》不象他们早期的专辑那么天真自得，而是更多的黑暗色彩，编曲的结构也从原来的随心所欲，转变成现在很符合国际化的清晰模式。

以上三张专辑都是在FatCat厂牌下发行的，而下面这张《Please Smile My Nose Bleed》

 由德国电子音乐厂牌Morr Music在2001年发行的「Please Smile My Nose Bleed」混音专辑，介于「Yesterday Was Dramatic Today Is OK」(2001)与「Finally We Are No One」(2002)之间，Mum的"On The Old Mountain Readio"、"Please Sing My Spring Reverb"以及"Flow Not So Fast Old Mountain Radio"等三首新曲都十分精彩，完全符合该厂牌的一贯调性，温暖悦耳的电子旋律，小孩的喃喃自语与嘻笑声，有着勾勒起怀旧梦幻感觉的奇妙效果。
